Programs

PFund Foundation is a community foundation that advances social justice for LGBT communities in the Upper Midwest. It assists organizations in being successful, funds systems change work, develops leaders, inspires giving, and convenes & reports on issues of importance for our communities.

Funding Systems Change Programs
PFund funds nonprofits that focus their programming or projects within one of the three pillars of social justice for LGBT people:

  • Equality — achieving equal rights through advocacy and civic engagement.

Vision: To ensure the human rights and dignity of LGBT individuals are unquestioned and that they are free from discrimination.

  • Safety — ensuring access to and safety and security in all places, such as educational institutions, healthcare clinics and hospitals and neighborhoods.

Vision:  To create a world in which LGBT people are safe and our media, policy makers, families and popular culture reject any form of violence against them.

  • Community — creating power through community via organizing, hosting events and expressing ourselves through the arts.

Vision: To create an environment in which LGBT people are visible, celebrated and find power in working together to advance equality and social justice.

Currently, PFund grants over $80,000 annually to LGBT and LGBT-serving organizations. We take pride in the wide variety of groups we fund, including grassroots LGBT organizations that might not otherwise find funding. Details here: Grants
